Anne Fracht
Anne Fracht is an award-winning self-advocate with over three decades of experience fighting for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She works as Self-Advocacy Coordinator at Advocates, Inc., is a regional representative for Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE), and is a board member of Massachusetts Advocates Standing Strong (MASS), where she formerly served three terms as Chairperson and currently co-chairs the Supported Decision-Making Task Force. She is also a current member of the Governor’s Commission on Intellectual Disability, the Department of Developmental Disability Services’ Self-Direction Advisory Board, and the Disability Law Center’s board. Formerly, she has also served as Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council, among many other past leadership roles. She has lectured on self-advocacy and disability rights across the country and has trained and empowered thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to speak up for themselves.
