Deborah Sivas

Deborah A. Sivas is the Luke W. Cole Professor of Environmental Law at Stanford Law School, where she directs the Environmental Law Clinic and the Environmental and Natural Resource Law and Policy Program.  She is also a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment.  Professor Sivas has been practicing environmental/natural resource law in federal and state court for three decades, much of it supervising law student practitioners in the courts and before administrative agencies.  Prior to joining Stanford in 1997, she practiced with Earthjustice and Heller, Ehrman, White & McAulliffe and served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Judith Keep.  Her most recent articles have focused on the environmental rollback agenda of the current administrative, protection of coastal and marine resources, and climate policy.
